CHAMBIRA BASKET WITH WILDLIIFE CARVING ON CALABASH CENTER - MADE BY PERUVIAN AMAZON ARTISAN

This unique basket is woven with chambira palm fiber with a calabash pod center featuring an etched design of a rainforest animal.  It will make a stunning decoration on your wall or be an eye-catching place for your mail, keys or other knick-knacks.  These multi-material baskets are made by artisans from the community of Amazonas on the Maranon River in the Peruvian Amazon. 

These baskets were handmade by different artisans so the exact design may vary from the photo shown for this model. Medium size baskets average 10.5 inches in diameter; small size averages 9.25 inches across. The extra-small basket is 7.5 inches across and 1.25 inches deep.
