These ornaments were made with calabash tree pods by native Bora and Huitoto artisans from the Ampiyacu River region. Each ornament features a hand-etched design of an Amazon animal in its environment. You could hang it from a Christmas tree or rearview mirror or use it as a rattle that fits comfortably in your hand to keep the beat with any music. Each ornament comes with a tag that gives the name of the artisan, their home, the four plants used to make the craft, and the type of wildlife carved on the pod.
