Woven hot pad (trivet) and center piece with black and white rings

This hot pad and center piece was designed by a Bora artisan from the village of Brillo Nuevo on the Ampiyacu River.  It features alternating rings of black and natural off-white chambira palm fiber with a black center colored with natural plant dyes. Like all hand-made crafts, its exact design may vary from the photo of the model.
