Macaw and parrot Ceramic water whistle from the Peruvian Amazon
These unique ceramic water whistles represent 4 colorful birds from the parrot family in Latin America - the blue and gold macaw, scarlet macaw, sun conure and orange-cheek parrot. Blow into this fun little ceramic whistle and you get one sound - add some water and blow again to get a fun trill that sounds just like a bird!
Each little flute has a hole that can be left uncovered or covered with your finger to vary the pitch of the whistle. It has one extra loop with a thin chord that will allow you to wear your whistle with you anywhere.
Made by local artisans from the city of Iquitos in the heart of the Peruvian Amazon.
The dimensions of each whistle are: 2.5" x 1.4" x 2.6"
Model: WHCB028 (scarlet macaw); WHCB029 (blue and gold macaw); WHCB042 (orange-cheeked parrot)

Support native artisans & rainforest in the Amazon
Amazon forest loss is driving species to extinction, aggravating global warming, and robbing people of unique medicines, foods and other benefits. Cutting and burning forests is often more profitable than conserving them, so some native communities in northern Peru have illegally logged and grown coca and other cash-crops to escape poverty.
