These elegant, Leopard Jasper, or "Jaguar Stone", and Opalite teardrop earrings are here adorned with midsized huayruru seeds, considered throughout the Amazon to bring the bearer good luck. These naturally two-tone seeds from this distinctive group of tropical trees in the bean family are mostly orange with a distinctive black patch. The leopard jasper lends an exquisite natural beauty, with the stone showing multicolored swirls, while the opalite conveys an ethereal design. Leopard Jasper is a stone widely appreciated for its healing and calming properties, also specifically known for its association with the root chakra.
These earrings are made by an expert artisan from Iquitos who has worked with the Center for Amazon Community Ecology for ten years. The French hooks are made with non-allergenic material.
