Cana Flecha Narrow Rectangular Earrings - made by Peruvian Amazon artisan

Sale price$15.00

These stylish boho-style earrings convey the casual and exotic sense of the Amazon.  The intricate geometric patterns are woven from caña flecha - the cane that is named for the long stiff plant whose stems are made into arrows by traditional Amazon hunters.  The inner core is made of strong and flexible resin.

This model features a narrow rectangular base that are adorned with a small silver colored bead. Please note these earrings have diverse zigzag patterns.

These earrings are made by an expert artisan from Iquitos who has worked with the Center for Amazon Community Ecology for ten years.  The French hooks are made with non-allergenic material.

Please remember that these handmade crafts may vary from the photos shown.

Support native artisans
& rainforest in the Amazon

Amazon forest loss is driving species to extinction, aggravating global warming, and robbing people of unique medicines, foods and other benefits. Cutting and burning forests is often more profitable than conserving them, so some native communities in northern Peru have illegally logged and grown coca and other cash-crops to escape poverty.
