Bora native design hair barrettes
Would you like a distinct exotic look to tuck your hair together? These flat barrettes are hand-made by Bora native artisans from the Peruvian Amazon with natural fiber with some traditional and some of their own unique designs.
The top of these barrettes are woven with natural chambira palm fiber harvested from the artisans' forest fields. The unique front is matched with a high quality (2 1/2" long) barrette back made with genuine French white steel.
These and other designs are also available in pony tail barrettes.
Please remember that each hand made craft is unique and may vary slightly from the photo of the model shown in this listing.

Support native artisans & rainforest in the Amazon
Amazon forest loss is driving species to extinction, aggravating global warming, and robbing people of unique medicines, foods and other benefits. Cutting and burning forests is often more profitable than conserving them, so some native communities in northern Peru have illegally logged and grown coca and other cash-crops to escape poverty.
