Ayahuasca vine earrings with quill dangles - made by Peruvian Amazon artisan
These earrings will connect you to a traditional practice of many shamans in the Amazon. Each type has a cross-section of an ayahuasca vine or its relative sapohuasca with a pattern as unique as the ceremonies.
All of these models have dangles made from porcupine quills. Some pieces are lacquered to give them a shine while others retain the natural wood matte look. Other models are adorned with a two-toned huayruru seed bead, black achira seed or plain on top.
These earrings are made by skilled artisans from Iquitos who have worked with the Center for Amazon Community Ecology for ten years. The French hooks are made with non-allergenic material.
Please remember that each pair of these earrings is unique and may vary from the photos shown.

Support native artisans & rainforest in the Amazon
Amazon forest loss is driving species to extinction, aggravating global warming, and robbing people of unique medicines, foods and other benefits. Cutting and burning forests is often more profitable than conserving them, so some native communities in northern Peru have illegally logged and grown coca and other cash-crops to escape poverty.
