Fancy labradorite stone macrame necklace from the Peruvian Amazon
These elegant boho-style necklaces feature a labradorite stone embedded in a fancy macrame waxed thread design featuring woven ayahuasca leaves. One model also includes a lacquered cross-section of the ayahuasca vine. Ayahuasca is used by many Amazon shamans in traditional ceremonies. Labradorite is a unique gem that is translucent and reflects rainbow colors as the light hits it from different angles. The necklace was made by an expert artisan from Iquitos who has worked with Amazon Ecology for twelve years.
Each necklace has a waxed twine with two knots that allow easy adjustment of the length to fit it over your head and then tighten.
Please remember that each stone piece is unique so the pattern will vary from the one featured in this product's main photo.

Support native artisans & rainforest in the Amazon
Amazon forest loss is driving species to extinction, aggravating global warming, and robbing people of unique medicines, foods and other benefits. Cutting and burning forests is often more profitable than conserving them, so some native communities in northern Peru have illegally logged and grown coca and other cash-crops to escape poverty.
