HERON AND EGRET FAIR-TRADE CHRISTMAS TREE ORNAMENTS - WOVEN BY PERUVIAN AMAZON ARTISAN

These unique fair-trade ornament represent the white egret and blue heron - two long-legged birds found near marshes and other water bodies in the Amazon and North America.

These ornaments were woven with chambira palm fiber by a native Amazon artisan. The sale of these ornaments supports forest conservation and helps meet local needs in traditional communities in Peru. These bird ornaments were made artisans from the villagea on the Maranon River.

Each ornament comes with a tag listing the name and home of the artisan who made it and the plants used to make it.
