Painted cow horn earrings from the Peruvian Amazon
These fun earrings are made with cow horn painted with colorful versions of the tree of life and diverse geometric patterns reminiscent of native America designs. Some variations are round or oval with dangles that are either narrow spears or multi-colored beads.
These earrings are made by an expert artisan from Iquitos who has worked with the Center for Amazon Community Ecology for ten years. The French hooks are made with non-allergenic material.
Please remember that these handmade crafts may vary from the photos shown.

Support native artisans & rainforest in the Amazon
Amazon forest loss is driving species to extinction, aggravating global warming, and robbing people of unique medicines, foods and other benefits. Cutting and burning forests is often more profitable than conserving them, so some native communities in northern Peru have illegally logged and grown coca and other cash-crops to escape poverty.
