The three rows of achira (Canna) seeds come from a Lilly family plant that artisans plant in their backyard gardens to have this versatile bead ready at hand. The fiber comes from the leaves of the chambira palm tree that artisans plant in their forest farm fields.
The main part of the bracelet is 5.5" long. The side pieces made of natural and sturdy chambira palm fiber will allow you to comfortably secure this around your wrist or ankle. Most models have a unique design that combines natural black achira seeds with other finely painted seeds.
The bracelet was made by an expert artisan from Iquitos who has worked with the Center for Amazon Community Ecology for ten years.
