Natural Ivory colored Chambira Shoulder Bag made by a Peruvian Amazon artisan
These shoulder bags were hand-made by native artisans from the Amipyacu River region of the Peruvian Amazon with natural and durable chambira palm fiber. These bags are great to take your laptop to a coffee shop, to shop in a outdoor market or tote your towel, good book and suntan lotion to the beach.
The smaller bag is made with an expandable crochet style knit. The larger model is made with strong medium spaced knots.
A tag lists the artisan's name and community and the plants they used to make it. Please note that each handmade bag may vary from the photo shown.

Support native artisans & rainforest in the Amazon
Amazon forest loss is driving species to extinction, aggravating global warming, and robbing people of unique medicines, foods and other benefits. Cutting and burning forests is often more profitable than conserving them, so some native communities in northern Peru have illegally logged and grown coca and other cash-crops to escape poverty.
